An art-based design and research strategy

generative Image-based Search Engines: keyframing & prompt states

I’m currently experimenting with prompt morphing states and animated visual design using generative AI. Although image morphing offers some interesting continuity, the graphic’s strength comes in the artwork’s meaning, the intent of the image’s content, and context. This is essential in creating a strong visual narrative. By choosing to curate generative AI images that have meaning and are relevant to a story or theme, you can add depth and resonance to the overall narrative. Similarly, animation can add a layer of dynamism and movement to the visual aspect of the story. It can be used to significant effect in conveying specific themes or ideas.

Prompt states derived from quotations: “Monsters cannot be announced. One cannot say: ‘Here are our monsters,’ without immediately turning the monsters into pets.” —Jacques Derrida.

On display above are AI-generated characters in an animated zoom created with Machine Learning and other computer-generated techniques. The AI works by calling design states with statements or prompts that, according to keyframed predesigned and tested targets states, specify various depictions of SCARY-NESS over a short period, 41 seconds, while mixed into a cute pet-like design prompt,

Depicted are AI-generated snapshots of children locked in cages that take on nativistic Mexican folk art design.

The visuals on this page are generated under various design outcomes. Exploration of word usage for the visual target generation. These pieces use idea-based descriptive design with a word-based style and object-specific desired results.
