Generative AI has become a powerful tool in my creative practice. It allows me to explore the intersections of art, science, and culture. My recent projects use AI’s potential. They craft abstract visual narratives. These narratives delve into themes like quantum mechanics, entropy, and the decolonial re-imagination of storytelling.
These works combine ancestral wisdom and futuristic aesthetics, transforming complex concepts into visually compelling, immersive experiences. I aim to use tools like Generative AI and advanced media platforms. I aim to push the boundaries of what animation and abstract art can convey. I want to bridge the gap between intangible scientific ideas and emotional human connection.
The result? Stories that are not just seen but felt. They spark dialogue about our place in a universe shaped by ancient knowledge and cutting-edge innovation. This creative journey is about more than art; it’s about expanding how we perceive and engage with reality.
Mesoamerican Design Inspiration
According to ancient legends, our ancestors walked through an inter-dimensional portal, disappearing from reality. The portal was a large black obsidian mirror placed high in their most revered temple. The foreigners coveted their gold. Driven by this greed, the ancestors moved as much gold as possible through the portal. Then, they embarked on their journey to the other side.
They discovered a new life in the new world, embracing their transformational abilities and dedicating themselves to pursuing knowledge. They decorated themselves with the relics of the past. They donned clothes trimmed with sacred jewels and gold. They looked to the universe and their portal as a new frontier to explore.
Using their transformational magic, they explored the mysteries of the universe. They discovered new wonders and secrets that were once hidden from them. Eventually, they returned to their ancestral temple but were no longer the same people. They deeply understood the universe and acquired knowledge beyond what anyone in their old world had imagined. Still, they bore the same appearance, embellished with sacred relics and gold that symbolized their heritage.
The following is an intriguing short video created using cutting-edge Generative AI techniques. The imagery was forged using Stable Diffusion’s Generative AI models. These models were generously made open-source in January 2023, a testament to the spirit of collaboration in the tech community. The captivating motion effects were skillfully introduced using the Deforum Colab notebook, further showcasing the power of these innovative tools.
